China based PV manufacturer & new energy solution provider Beyondsun is to invest and construct 300 MW wind energy projects in Gansu province, northwest of China. Currently it is one of the largest independent wind energy projects under development in northwest of China.
Beyondsun, who was established in 2008 in Huzhou. China, begins its business with PV manufacturing, and now it covers solar cells, solar modules, aluminum frames, solar project development, project EPC & O&M, wind energy project development, electricity retails and so on.
Beyondsun is backed by Zhenbei Group, a multi complex cooperation with more than 35 years history. Zhenbei Group covers 4 key sectors: Zhenbei Cashmere, China largest vertically integrated cashmere manufacturer; Zhenbei Real Estate with over 1.2 million SQ.M development area; Beiyuan Holdings with more than 450 million USD assets in management, including industrial estate, shopping malls and hotels; Beyondsun Holdings, a professional new energy manufacturer and solution provider.
The 300 MW wind energy project is located in Dingxi, Gansu province, China. It total has 3 phases, with 100 MW each. Beyondsun states that each phase will deploy 31 wind turbines with 3.3 MW capacity each and one 110kV booster station. All 3 phase projects are funded by Beyondsun, with more than 340 million USD investment in total. And meanwhile, Power China Jiangxi Electric Power Construction will provide EPC service for the whole project. The project is expected to be connected to the grid by end of 2021.
Beyondsun states that it is a clean energy project supported by the state government. After the completion of the project, it can promote the sustainable development of the local economy, optimize the structure of the power grid and effectively supplement the demand for electricity.
With its first move in wind energy project, Beyondsun successfully expands its renewable energy assets. Till now, Beyondsun holds more than 300 MW solar project assets across the world. And it has more than 1.2 GW project pipeline by the end of Q1, 2021.
