On May 15th, one of Europe’s largest professional PV exhibitions, Intersolar Europe 2019 was held in Munich, Germany. Trunsun Solar was invited to participate this large-scale event with two high-efficiency PV modules which ideally match the requirement of the European PV market. Trunsun’s exhibition attracts many visitors to stop by.
In recent years, with the completion of the bidding system in the European PV market and the end of the EU’s dual countermeasures against China’s solar photovoltaic cells and components, the European PV market has gradually recovered.
GTM Research estimates that by 2022, 10 to 17 GW of electricity will be installed each year in Europe, with a cumulative capacity of 182 GW. By 2050, solar energy may be Europe’s largest source of electricity generation, with its share of total consumption increasing from about 5% in 2018 to 36% in 2050.
Market Review:
Germany is one of the first countries to develop photovoltaics in Europe and one of the countries with a large installed capacity of photovoltaics in the world. The German PV market grew strongly in 2018, with new installed capacity of nearly 3GW. Its PV demand increased by 68% from the previous year.
In 2018, the Netherlands entered the “GW-level solar club” for the first time. At present, the Netherlands plans to install 20GW of photovoltaic capacity by 2035. As of 2018, the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaics in the Netherlands is 2GW, and it is expected that the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaics will reach 6GW in 2020.
Italy is one of the world’s traditional leading PV markets. The local PV installed capacity is stable. The PV technology has received greatest support from the Italian government compared to other renewable energy technologies.
The rapid recovery of the Spanish PV market in the past two years has attracted investors’ attention. Spain, which sits on the Iberian Peninsula, is one of the best regions in Europe with light resources, with an annual exposure rate of 1600-1700 kWh/kWp. By the end of 2018, the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaics is 7.13GW, and the total installed capacity of photovoltaics is planned to reach 77GW by 2030.
According to the current market environment, PV solutions with higher cost performance and higher conversion rate have become the first choice for the European PV market.
Trunsun Solar always values European market as one of the key markets in the globalization strategy. The exhibited high-efficiency PV modules, which unveiled in terms of appearance, configuration and performance, are highly suitable for local market. It is an ideal solution for the local market and the European market.
Trunsun Solar’s high efficiency half-cut cell PV modules are the results of its constantly innovation and technological development. Among the products on display, the 120-type black-frame Mono-crystalline half-cut module with PERC technology and 60-type all-black half-cut Imbricated modules are warmly welcomed among participants.
The products have excellent output performance. 5-10W output efficiency can be increased under the same solar illuminance conditions. The low battery series resistance structure ensures high power output of the product. Compared with traditional high-efficiency PV modules, the half-cut structure performs better in low-light environments and high-temperature environments. With its low operating temperature, advanced reliability and better anti-cracking performance, it can meet the high-end customized requirements of the European market.
Katherine Gao, Sales VP of Trunsun Solar, mentioned during the event: “We regard the needs of our customers and the market as our top priority. Trunsun Solar has always insisted on providing customized products and services with higher conversion rates and lower LCOE (cost of electricity) for the global PV market.
Trunsun Solar maintains cooperation with the European PV market, and has a thorough understanding of the differentiated demand for products and services in the European market. Trunsun never stops in innovating while providing a large number of high-efficiency PV module products.
In the future, we will strengthen cooperation with more partners to assist the development of European PV market.”
